Privacy Policy
Last updated July 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Install Direct collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Install Direct website and services.
1. Information we collect
We collect the information you give us to price and fulfill your order: your name, email, phone number, service address, details about your home and existing equipment, and any photos you upload. When you pay, our processor (Stripe) handles your card details — we receive a confirmation and limited information such as the card brand and last four digits, never the full card number.
2. How we use it
We use your information to prepare your quote, process payment, coordinate installation with a contractor in our network, provide support, and communicate with you about your order. We use uploaded equipment photos to identify your system, including with automated (AI) assistance.
3. How we share it
We share what is necessary to fulfill your order: your name, address, phone, and job details with the assigned installer; payment information with Stripe; and message delivery with our SMS and email providers. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Text messages
If you opt in, we send service-related texts about your quote, order, and installation. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not affect your order. Message and data rates may apply.
5. Data retention and security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, tax, and warranty obligations. We protect it with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and row-level security in our database.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, submit a request on our privacy request page and we will respond as required by applicable law.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
