Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Install Direct website and services (the “Service”) and any purchase of heating and cooling equipment or installation you make through it. By using the Service or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. Quotes and pricing
Prices shown are estimates based on the information you provide and are valid for the period stated on your proposal. Final pricing may change if on-site conditions differ materially from what you described (for example, unexpected ductwork, electrical, or access issues). We will tell you before any change and you may cancel at no charge if you do not accept a revised price.
2. Orders, payment, and financing
When you check out you authorize us, or our payment processor Stripe, to charge the amount shown for equipment and installation. Financing is provided by our home-improvement lenders, Sunlight Financial and Service Finance Company (a Truist company), under their own terms and approval criteria; we are not the lender. A deposit, where required, is applied to your total.
3. Installation
Installations are performed by licensed, insured contractors in our network. We coordinate scheduling and stand behind the work, but the installing contractor is responsible for performing the installation in a workmanlike manner and in compliance with applicable codes and permits.
4. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel before installation begins for a full refund of amounts paid, less any non-recoverable costs already incurred on your behalf (such as special-order equipment). Once installation is complete, returns are governed by the manufacturer warranty and any applicable right-of-rescission law in your state. Refunds are issued to your original payment method. 5. Warranties
Equipment carries the manufacturer’s warranty. Workmanship is warranted by the installing contractor for the period stated on your paperwork. Except as expressly stated, the Service is provided “as is” and we disclaim all other warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6. Communications consent
By providing your phone number and checking the consent box, you agree that we and your assigned installer may contact you by phone call and SMS text message about your quote, order, and installation, including via automated systems. Consent is not a condition of purchase for calls you place yourself. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts or HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Install Direct is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order giving rise to it.
